A Pause Online for A Project Offline

3 MINUTE READ

A note from Author Across Cultures, Yang-May Ooi, about her new offline project…

I have loved writing the articles and stories on this blog, and also talking to my fascinating guests on the related Belonging Across Cultures podcast. This project has allowed me to explore a wide range of themes and topics in the context of Belonging – and of course with the spicy Across Cultures flavour, too. And it has kept my writing muscle working and toned!

I have also valued the comments and private messages I have received from my lovely readers here on the blog and also via the email newsletter version. Thank you to all my readers and subscribers for coming along with me on my explorations.

There will be a pause in online matters for a bit going forward as I want to focus on a potential real world project offline. It may or may not become further articles and stories for Belonging Across Cultures – or it could perhaps evolve into a book or video series… There is something exciting and trepidatious about this stage of the creative life when we embark on something new and unknown that may or may not gain traction.

It is a moment I have experienced many times over the years as a writer – some have led to amazing results far exceeding my humble hopes, others have led to nothing at all and still others have opened up opportunities that I never could have imagined. And each time these moments come, they still bring a tumult of emotions both positive and anxiety-filled. So – let us see where this moment leads…

I will add articles and features from time to time here and also send out occasional mailings of the newsletter version as themes and stories emerge. And also include updates on the offline project as and when it gains traction. So if you might be curious to hear updates, please do subscribe to receive occasional mailings – go to the Subscribe page here.
