“There can be no lasting peace unless we address the long term psychological impact of war and conflict”. ECHOES OF HOPE is a moving and powerful short video about the work of Beyond Conflict, the mental health charity for conflict zones. They are NON-PARTISAN and support local mental health organisations on the ground in conflict zones. They work in Gaza AND Israel, Ukraine and with the Rohingyas to develop specific mental health programmes for children, young people, adults and also aid workers who have been affected by the trauma of war and conflict. Cross-cultural author Yang-May Ooi is a supporter and writes here about Echoes of Hope, a film about the work of Beyond Conflict.
Echoes of Hope – a Beyond Conflict film
I support Beyond Conflict, the mental health charity for those affected by war and conflict. They have made a film about their NON-PARTISAN work in Gaza AND Israel, Ukraine and among the Rohingyas.
The film is narrated by humanitarian Terry Waite and features the voices of those affected by war in Gaza, Israel, Ukraine and among the Rohingyas, including mental health workers. Co-founder of Beyond Conflict, journalist and author Edna Fernandes also talks about the urgency that inspired her to start the charity.
ECHOES OF HOPE has been shortlisted for the Royal Geographical Society’s Geographical magazine’s Better World Video Awards.
